Cicero Christian Church is thankful to be able to provide families a Christian alternative to their child care and pre-elementary education needs through the three departments of Cicero Christian School:

  • Daycare providing year-round, full-day care for children age 6 weeks through 12 years. We participate in the Family & Social Services Administration Paths to QUALITY program and accept CCDF vouchers.

  • Preschool - providing up to four sessions a week for nine months a year of pre-elementary education for children ages three through five implementing Montessori methods

Cicero Christian School participates in the  Family & Social Services Administration  Paths to QUALITY program,  and is the only child care ministry  in Hamilton County to receive  Level 3 status (as of March 2013).

Daycare

for working families - full day care - year round

Cicero Christian Daycare offers a safe and secure environment year-round for working families where children 6 weeks to 12 years old will receive excellent full-day care. Your child will experience the love of Jesus through loving teachers and involvement in activities that reflect Christian values. While at Crosslight Christian Daycare, your child will participate in art, songs, learning centers, learning the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, Bible stories, and more. We offer the opportunity for your child to expand their learning through play activities.

CCS is a ministry of Cicero Christian Church, and has been in operation since 1999.

The administration and staff have a strong commitment to provide children in our care the utmost opportunity to grow and develop to their highest potential. We are also committed to providing parents with a peace of mind, knowing their child is safe and receiving excellent, loving care while they are at our Daycare ministry.

Cicero Christian Daycare is open 6am to 6pm and observes standard holidays and the week after Christmas as closed.

Inside and outside play areas are available to our Daycare, and we are close enough to walk to the local library and Cicero Community park.

Children can participate in the Cicero Christian Montessori Approach Learning Preschool program and still have care before and after school through the Daycare ministry.

For parents with children in half day kindergarten (morning or afternoon) at Hamilton Heights, we offer extended care including transportation.

Certifications

Voluntary Certification Program

Our daycare is approved by the Indiana Voluntary Certification Program (VCP) through the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA). Cicero Christian School's Daycare was only the 29th registered ministry in the State of Indiana to pass this 4-part voluntary program with goals to substantially improving standards in Health, Safety, Food/Nutrition, and Infant/Toddler care in daycare ministries. To visit the FSSA website, click here.

Paths to QUALITY

The VCP certification allows us to continue on in the spring of 2010 in a formal way with the Paths to QUALITY program, which is a four-level voluntary program to improve childcare in the state of Indiana. Paths to QUALITY opens doors for more training, program and family funding while allowing us to continue to provide Bible-based care.

We choose to participate in this voluntary quality rating program and have completed Level 3 of four as the first child care ministry in Hamilton County to complete this level. Indiana has chosen to implement this rating system called Paths to QUALITY to provide an accountability measure for parents and improve the quality of care for young children.  The state wide goals are:

  • Increase the quality of care for all children.

  • Provide parents with a method to make informed child care choices.

  • Support professional development activities of child care providers.

  • Recognize and reward providers who demonstrate commitment to continuous quality improvement of their early learning programs.

We as a Center are continuing an exciting journey towards continued quality care for our families.

Child Care Voucher Program

The Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) is a federal program that assists low-income families, families receiving temporary public assistance, and those transitioning from public assistance in obtaining childcare so they can work, attend training, or continue education. The purpose of CCDF is to increase the availability, affordability, and quality of childcare.

Cicero Christian Daycare is an approved child care provider. The nearest location to apply for assistance is the Children's Bureau, Inc. 942 N. 10th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.

Cicero Christian School is committed to help children grow spiritually with a Montessori approach to education.

Montessori focuses on individual skills and interests using hands on-materials.

Each child is given the opportunity to grow and develop their God-given skills in a structured environment.

We can also design a full day plan, depending upon your family needs.

Cicero Christian School participates in the Family & Social Services Administration Paths to QUALITY program, and is the only child care ministry in Hamilton County to receive Level 3 status (as of March 2013).

Cicero Christian Church has hosted a preschool program for more than 15 years. The 2013/2014 school year was our tenth year using the Montessori method.

Children ages three to six are eligible for enrollment. Children must be three and "potty" trained.

Session Options

Parents can choose from a flexible plan offering of as little as two daily sessions to as many as five sessions per week. (Our teaching method works best when the days of attendance are consecutive.)

Children who will be entering kindergarten the following fall will be enrolled in the "Excel" program. Children who have a year or two before the kindergarten milestone will be enrolled in the "Beginner" program.

Morning classes are Monday through Friday 9-11:30a.

Afternoon classes are Monday through Friday 12:30-3:00p.

Full Day classes are Monday through Friday from 9:00a to 3:00p and include a hot lunch.

Does your child need a little help with their speech? We team up with Hamilton Heights speech department to bring you onsite speech therapy. A trained speech therapist will visit with your child at Crosslight Montessori Preschool one to two times weekly depending on the needs of your child.

Are your children asking to eat lunch at school? We have the perfect program for you! Lunch bunch and is offered Monday-Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30pm. The children stay for a hot lunch and social time with other students. Instead of the parents picking their child up at 11:30am, students would follow the same procedures for pick up at 12:30pm. The cost of this lunch bunch program is in addition to normal tuition.

Preschool monthly tuition is based on number of sessions per week.
