ParadoxSometimes understanding the Bible is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole - a paradox. This series is a study of the seemingly contradicting statements found in the book of Philippians.
Partners in Peace – Join us over the next two months as we begin a new prayer initiative. Find at least one other person that you can meet with twice a week from now until the end of the year and pray for peace and joy to overwhelm your heart, mind, and soul as well as praying for peace and joy to consume God’s churches in our community and transform our country.
Our Worship and Music Pastor Doug Wiggers will preach this week. Worship will be led by our youth.

During both worship sessions, Eric Miller will share a bit about state and local government and Christianity. Mr. Miller will also address the combined Adult Bible Fellowships in the family life center at 8:45am and 10:30am.
Soul RevolutionHave you ever felt like you were at a crossroads in your life. You just didn't know where to turn next? You felt cold, lonely, and like your spirit was in a dry spell? You felt like your prayers were just hitting the ceiling and going no further? Maybe you just felt like you wanted to connect with God at a deeper lever? If so, then you are in need of a Soul Revolution.
This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.' " ~ Jeremiah 6:16
The main purpose of this series is to help each individual connect with God at a deeper level and to renew a spirit of love, commitment, and devotion within the heart of every believer. As they stand at the crossroads, our desire is to help them discover through God's Word the wisdom, courage and strength to make the right choice to follow God's path for their life.

No Names of the Bible The main purpose of this sermon series is to examine the different characters in the Bible who honored God with their sincerity of faith thus insuring a Godly heritage passed down through generations. Even though their names may never be known until we reach heaven, we know that they followed God and sought to bring Him glory. It does not matter whether you are a man, woman, or child; one of great political stature or of great power in this world. It does not matter what you past is like or what your skin color may be. It does not matter what nationality you may be. What matters is are seeking to leave a legacy of hope, grace, mercy, and love in the hearts and minds of those that will follow in your footsteps.
Are you leaving a Godly heritage?

The Extrordinary through the "Ordinary"
Big Question: What is the Legacy you are leaving behind?
We often get so wrapped up in making a name for ourselves and climbing the corporate ladder. Sometimes we do not realize that our testimony is being tainted by negative actions and words. One day it hits us, we are not who we want to be and we look back at the trail of bruised lives, including the life of our family, that we have left in the wake of our reckless pursuit of happiness. Five years from now, when people look back on your life or reflect upon your name what will come to their mind? Will they remember you as a loving, caring man or woman of God? Or will they remember you as a terrible, hateful person? What is the legacy you are leaving behind?

Life seems so fragile at times. Sometimes we struggle with great difficulty trying to make it through the week, trying to overcome the sorrow of loss, trying to stand for our core beliefs when attacked on every side, and we struggle when our family is hit hard by strive and turmoil. Yes, we will struggle in this life, but now we can be sure that we can be victorious in every situation. The answer is found as we study through the book of Ephesians and learn to Fireproof Our Lives.

Craftsman's Club We will be entertained by a musical selection from our one-time men's chorus!
Men are men. We don’t cry, we don’t show emotions. We wipe our nose on our sleeve, we spit on the sidewalk, and we don’t show our emotions. This is what we have been taught by the world but God tells us a different story. We are in need of men that are ready and willing to stand up and become the leaders God has called them to be and I believe many men are looking to rise to God’s challenge but don’t know how. This message will focus on what it means to craft the future of an individual by your actions, words, and example. Join the Craftsman's Club today!

"Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter
and the opposing ideas of
what is falsely called knowledge,
which some have professed and in so
doing have wandered from the faith." "Have nothing to do with godless
myths and old wives' tales;
rather, train yourself to be godly." |
Have you ever been scammed or cheated? Have you ever bought into a lie? We all have been duped in our lives and have fallen victim to the lies that are out there. The question is, are you a victim of spiritual lies? Scripture reminds us that Satan is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour, so be on your guard. Yet, very few Christians are on their guard anymore. Are you walking into the lion's den? Have you walked into a web of deceit?
In this series we will look at four lies that Satan has convinced the world are true, and we will consider what God's Word declares as the truth in each circumstance so that we can stand guard and be ready for the lies that will come our way.
We are all influenced by the things we watch, read, and list to as we live in this world. We do not always want to believe this to be true, but the fact is that everything we take in with our five senses will impact what comes out of our hearts and minds.
Philippians 4:8-9 remindes us that we are continually looking at our life through a filter, but what is that filter for you? Do you have Biblical filter or a worldly filter? This sermon will look at several major ways that the culture around influences the way we live our lives.
We are constantly hearing that Islam is a religion of peace, yet we see the extreme opposite of this statement by Muslim's on the news, internet, and on the radio. What is the truth about this religion of peace? Is it really one of peace, or one of violence and hatred? This message will examine the truth about the Islamic faith, its origins, and the truth behind the core beliefs that are not seen or heard by the average American.
Click Here for Booklet "Islam: A Religion of Peace?"
You have heard the phrase "I can look, but not touch," yet Jesus says that this is still a sin. Men and owmen live in a world where we are told it is acceptable to searce for pleasure and indulge yourself as long as you don't hurt someone else in the process. Christ reminds us that even the seemingly insignificant actions and thoughts plant a seed of danger, desire, and ultimately destruction in our lives and the lives of others. Come and find out the truth about adultery and lust in this message.
The final message in this series studies the controversial topic of baptism. Many churches have differing opinions on the subject of baptism yet who is right and who is wrong. the answer can only be found by taking Scripure at face value and observing the life, actions and teachings of Jesus Christ. Does baptism make us more Christ-like or less Christ-like is the ultimate question on this subject, because it is only through Christ that we will enter into eternity. Study the Scriptures and leave behind your traditions and witness the truth.

Have you ever encountered God? Have you encountered God like Moses, as he talked to a burning bush or like Abraham as he was tested and tried in the most desperate hour of his son's life? Have you ever encountered God and experienced His touch of peace and blessing in your life? This sermon series will touch on the very subject of Encountering God and walking with the Savior for the remainder of your life. Many people desire to have an encounter with God and for their lives to be transformed, yet they just do not know how. Find out through this forty day journey.

What is your view on money? How do you see it? When you see a one dollar bill, what do you envision? A twenty? Our view of money and possessions truly does matter when it comes to our view of eternity. This series will help us gain a fresh perspective on God's view of money, possessions, and eternity.
Our series challenge is Feed A Family / Feed a Child.
Big Idea: Awaken your eyes, your home is not here, it is yet to come!
We are only aliens on this earth and what we have been given in the area of money and possessions will only last for a little while, eventually fading away. Yet God reminds us that even though we can't take it with us, we can send it ahead in the form fo storing up treasures in heaven.
Memory Verse: Luke 12:33
Big Idea: Your view of money and possessions affects your view of eternity
The big idea helps us realize that the way we view and use our money and possessions shows us the true nature of our heart. Are we thinking about the world beyond, heaven, and striving to help people get there? We are continually building up one of two kingdoms, our on this earth or God's in heaven. How do you view money and possessions?
Memory Verse: Luke 12:34
Special Testimony: Greg Smith, missionary with Dunamis Christian Mission to the White Mountain Apache Tribe near Show Low, Arizona.
Special Luncheon: Stay for a free-will offering spaghetti fundraiser luncheon with Greg Smith to hear about Dunamis Ministries and how you can help.
Big Idea: You can't take it with you, but you can send it ahead!
What am I preparing for eternity? Our words and actions are continually building up or tearing down our treasures in heaven. There will come a time when everything we have on this earth will fade away, crumble, and be burned up. We cannot take any of our possessions with us, but we can send it ahead in the form of building up treasures in heaven. What are you doing with your money and possessions?
Memory Verse: Mark 8:35

Wishing For This It's that time of year when we think about our hopes and dreams for another year, another day, and another season. Christmas time is a magical time in which it almost seems like our hopes, dreams, and wishes can become a reality. Through this sermon series we ask the simple question: What are you wishing for this Christmas? The answer for many is as straight forward as the question. They are looking for Peace, Hope, and most importantly a Christmas Miracle. Does God know our wishes? Can He make them come true?
The Big Idea of this sermon brings us to the first of three major points during this Christmas season. With the state of our economy and the nature of war and natural disasters that have hit this country over the last year, people are in a state of disbelief and a great time of stress. In such a season as the one in which we are now living many people are looking for a little bit of Peace during this holiday season: Peace from War, Peace from a failing & ailing economy, and peace from the stress, depression, and despair that comes with such a time of trial.
Click here for the 12 Prayers of Christmas Booklet
The Big Idea brings us to the second wish that many people are wishing for this Christmas and that is for something to hold onto in uncertain times, a little wisdom and guidance in unknown territories where they have never been before, and most of all for a hope that would last for more than a mere moment but for a sustaining hope that will give them reassurance that everything will be alright. This hope only come from God and the promise He gives to His children alone, that He will provide and He will never abandon us if we just walk with Him in faithfulness.
This Big Idea is the final wish that we here uttered in the darkest hours of the night by lips that are barely whispering these words and with tear stained eyes that are having trouble seeing past the cloud of uncertainty and the troubled times ahead. The prayer that people are wishing to come true this Christmas is for a true Christmas Miracle to take place and for God to deliver them in their hour of need!

Integrity = One Person in Two Worlds
Employees want a person worth following. And as bosses or supervisors, we are responsible for the people God has entrusted us. By bringing our Christian values into the workplace and living out our calling, we can create great environments that could change our fellow workers lives.
Christianity is not supposed to be personal and private; we are to be lights in the darkness. Our light shines best when our character is developed to reflect God. People will see that our faith is about a relationship, not a religion.

BIG IDEA: It is time to lose your religion and follow Jesus!
Have you ever felt like there was meant to be more to life? You are just drifting, overwhelmed by stress, work, and you are always pressed for time--you find yourself merely going through the motions. You just want FREEDOM! You want to be saved from this hum-drum life you're living. You just want to experience life the way it was meant to be. If this describes you, then we invite you to find the freedom, life, and the answers you are looking for by losing your religion.
Finding Freedom - Galatians 5:1, 13-14
This message will focus on helping each person discover what it means to trade their sorrow, shame and sin for God's peace, hope, and forgiveness. Satan uses these things against us in our lives to keep us in bondage...but Christ has been sent to free us!
Finding Jesus - John 6:25-40
This message will focus on the aspect of shedding our religious traditions and forms in order to truly find and live for Jesus Christ in a life-fulfilling way.
Finding Life - Philippians 1:20-21
This message will focus on the concept of what it means to live a fulfilled life of purpose and mission. We will explore what this statement means: to live is Christ, to die is gain! This is opposite of the world's advise. We'll discover what this means in practical terms.
Fish TalesFishing can be fun, but what is someone's life depends upon it? What does it mean to reach the lost in a lost world? This message series will equip with the knowledge and passion to reach the lost.
Jesus wants to make His followers fishers of men. God will take and shape the potential of His followers so that they will be perfectly positioned in someone else's life to help them understand how to be a follower of Christ.
click here to see the Casting Crowns "Does Anybody Hear Her" video
Why bother to try to convince people to accept Christ? Salvation is found in no one else but the name of Jesus. As followers of Christ, we have to fish, because the message of salvation is not intuitive; it must be shared.
Pastor Ben Radant, our Children's Minister, is presenting the message this week

What's the relationship between building a family upon Christ and being a fisher of men? Come and find out this Sunday.
Becoming a Christian isn't about praying a prayer, attending church, or becoming committed to God. The message of Christ is simple: God loved us enough to give His Son, Jesus, to die for us. All He asks of us is that we place our trust in Him, and He will give us eternal life.
It is easy to become consumed in our Christian world, and forget about those who don't know God. It is our responsibility to go back to those people and share what we've discovered.
Pastor Chad Allen, our Youth Minister, is presenting the message this week

This sermon series will focus on the different reasons why Christians can praise God on a daily basis even during the midst of times of persecution, trials, tribulations, and times of victory. We will examine what it means to walk the path of praise and thanksgiving and how this relates to true victory found within Jesus Christ. The challenge throughout this series will be for each Christian to bring a prayer of thanksgiving and praise up to God on a daily basis no matter what difficulties they may be facing on that day.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Prayers that Birth Revival Pastor Tim encourages you, as part of this series, to pray through the 25 points based on II Chronicles 7:14. If you didn't get a copy of the card, you can view it online here (Life Action Ministries and Pray! Magazine from NavPress)

Living Beyond MyselfDiscover joy through serving others! One of the greatest realizations of a Christ-follower can make is this: You have been created and equipped to live an abundant life filled with joy and extraordinary fulfillment. And Christ says that to live this pulse-quickening, satisfying life, all that’s needed is to mirror his habit of serving the people around you. But where do you begin?
Pastor Bill will launch the series and Pastor Tim, rejuvenated from his short vacation (hopefully!) will continue and finish the series inspired by the materials of Bill Hybels, author of The Volunteer Revolution: Unleasing the Power of Everybody, and the small group study Living Beyond Myself.
October is the month that we will focus on Team Ministry. Our annual evaluation of team ministry occurs in the fall, and we will have a Team Ministry Fair during morning sessions on Sunday, October 22.
Pastor Tim Lueking will continue to explore the theme of Prayer and take us to a deeper level with the subject of Fasting.
In preparation for the series, you may want to read the Personal Guide to Fasting and Prayer by Bill Bright from Campus Crusade for Christ. Click on the graphic to link to this material online.
