Audio/VisualCicero Christian Church has three teams that support the technical aspects of the Worship & Music Ministry: Sound, Video, and Projection. We're always looking people to help in these ministry areas. SoundEvery week the sound team, coached by Jeff Hendricks, operates the audio portion of the service from the sound booth. All of you electronic gurus - this is right up your alley! Training is required. Sound support personnel should be available by about 7:45am on Sunday mornings and stay through the end of second service. The more we add to the rotation, the less frequently you will need to be here. It is also helpful if the week you are scheduled on a Sunday if you can come to the worship team practice at 6:30 on Wednesday. Special events also need sound support. Trained technicians are paid to assist in weddings when needed. Online Audio - we now process our sermons as mp3 files and post them on the sermon/bulletin portion of our website! Services are available in audio format starting in March, 2007 with the 40 Days with Jesus series. We now offer copies of the sermon on audio cassette, or audio CD for a small fee. VideoAs coach of the Video team, Rod Reed works hand-in-hand with Jeff Hendricks and the sound team as they capture the service digitally with two cameras. We have equipment to do some fading between cameras and switching between computer, camera, VHS or DVD projection on the main screen and the monitors throughout the church. ProjectionThe projection team, coached by Beth Roberts, operates as the "man behind the curtain" - if there is an awkward pause in the service it may be because the projectionist is a bit slow with the trigger finger! But don't let that keep you away from this important ministry. It requires very little training - just a knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, and you need to be available from 7:45am to the end of the second service about one Sunday a month or less. Nancy Reed prepares all the slides during the week, so you just have to show up and review them prior to service as well as project for the Sunday morning worship team run-through before the service starts.
