Crosslight Christian Daycare offers a safe and secure environment year-round for working families where children 6 weeks to 12 years old will receive excellent full-day care. Your child will experience the love of Jesus through loving teachers and involvement in activities that reflect Christian values. While at Crosslight Christian Daycare, your child will participate in art, songs, learning centers, learning the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, Bible stories, and more. We offer the opportunity for your child to expand their learning through play activities.
CCD is a ministry of Cicero Christian Church, and has been in operation since 1999.
The administration and staff have a strong commitment to provide children in our care the utmost opportunity to grow and develop to their highest potential. We are also committed to providing parents with a peace of mind, knowing their child is safe and receiving excellent, loving care while they are at our Daycare ministry.
Crosslight Christian Daycare is open 6am to 6pm and observes standard holidays and the week after Christmas as closed.
Inside and outside play areas are available to our Daycare, and we are close enough to walk to the local library and Cicero Community park.
Children can participate in the Crosslight Christian Montessori Preschool or Crosslight Christian Montessori Kindergarten program and still have care before and after school through the Daycare ministry.
Our daycare is approved by the Indiana Voluntary Certification Program (VCP) through the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA). Crosslight Christian Scool's Daycare was only the 29th registered ministry in the State of Indiana to pass this 4-part voluntary program with goals to substantially improving standards in Health, Safety, Food/Nutrition, and Infant/Toddler care in daycare ministries.

The VCP certification allows us to continue on in the spring of 2010 in a formal way with the Paths to QUALITY program, which is a four-level voluntary program to improve childcare in the state of Indiana. Paths to Quality opens doors for more training, program and family funding while allowing us to continue to provide Bible-based care.
We choose to participate in this voluntary quality rating program and have completed the first of four steps. Indiana has chosen to implement this rating system called Paths to QUALITY to provide an accountability measure for parents and improve the quality of care for young children. The state wide goals are:

The Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) is a federal program that assists low-income families, families receiving temporary public assistance, and those transitioning from public assistance in obtaining childcare so they can work, attend training, or continue education. The purpose of CCDF is to increase the availability, affordability, and quality of childcare.
Crosslight Christian Daycare is an approved child care provider. The nearest location to apply for assistance is the Children's Bureau, Inc. 942 N. 10th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.

Our Daycare ministry is registered with the State of Indiana, complying with all health, building, and fire codes.
Nutritious breakfast, snacks and hot lunches are provided each day and CCD participates in the USDA's CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program), a federal program providing funds through the state of Indiana.

Every summer we have a special CCD Summer Camp Program ~ details on the events and field trips are offered. Please call for current lineup of off-site events.
up to 4 infants per 1 teacher (4:1); room 101
5 waddler to 1 teacher (5:1) for children aged 12-18 months
5 toddlers to 1 teacher (5:1). Our toddlers are split into two classes: 12-18 months and 19-24 months; rooms 100 and 104
5 two year old children to 1 teacher (5:1); room 102
10 three year old children to 1 teacher (10:1); room 109
12 four or five year-old children to 1 teacher (12:1); room 110
(Kindergarten through age 12): 20 school-age children to 1 teacher (20:1); room 105/106. A minimum of two teachers accompany off-site field trips.

Crosslight Christian School will not automatically be closed because schools are closed, in fact we are a resource on mornings with delays and days were school is released for inclement weather. If the rare occasion occurs where Crosslight is closed, it will be posted on the local television stations as "Crosslight Christian School."
